Sesuit Harbor House is joining forces with WE CAN, a local non-profit, to kick off the 2011 season with the first ever Sesuit Spring Spree, to be held at the Sesuit Harbor House, 1421 Route 6A in East Dennis, Saturday, April 30th from 12-4.  This event will not only offer a fabulous array of activities but will, more importantly, allow WE CAN to spread awareness of their mission of empowering women to achieve lasting positive change.

The Sesuit Spring Spree will offer the community & visitors alike a fun-filled feel good afternoon.  Among the many activities are shopping the handmade crafts of local women artisans where 20% of all sales will benefit WE CAN or entering the many exciting raffles that will yield WE CAN 100% of the sales. Head on back to the kitchen and learn the secrets of Chef Jim,  who will be offering cooking demonstrations focused on using local seafood.  (Classes are limmited sign up early!) Other activities include touring The Sesuit’s renovated main house,  taking advantage of the free chair massages or visiting with the WE CAN representative to learn more about their great work.  Just enjoying the grounds sipping on complimentary coffee & wine while enjoying a few tasty goodies is always an option as well. Call 508-385-3326 for additional information.

The Sesuit Harbor House is set on the historic Old King’s Highway, Route 6A, in the Mid-Cape village of East Dennis.  It features a variety of accommodations, continental breakfast, swimming pool and old Cape Cod charm. For 10 years, WE CAN has empowered Cape Cod women of all ages to successfully navigate challenging life transitions including divorce, career change, job loss, illness, retirement, isolation and personal loss.

East Dennis Oysters – A Winter Treat!

January 24, 2011

Enjoyed 2 dozen East Dennis Oyster Farm oysters this weekend with friends who were wowed by the fresh, delicious mollusks. Jim made awesome Oysters Rockefeller with 12 of them but my favorite is cold in the shell with a little lemon spritz. MMMM good!
Come visit and go out to the farm with owners John & Stephanie Lowell… then come back to an oyster cooking lesson with Jim. Call for info!
