We missed the snow from the blizzard this week but more than made up for it with a constant gusty wind howling up off the marsh. Now we are enjoying sunny days and getting ready for the New Year. We’ve been blessed to be surroiunded  by friends and family this holiday season and are very happy to be bunking quarters for many neighbors  and their families too. The storm made for a lot of last minute reservation changes and prompted us to pull out our guest emergency supply equipment. The flashlights came in very handy when we lost power at the height of the storm. As we made the rounds handing out flasjhlights it was clear that the storm didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits – a couple of rooms gathered together and made their own party! And our own extended family of nephews and uncles and brothers, armed with rock salt and shovels,and fortified with lasagne, baked ham and cookies, kept us clear and safe.

The Sesuit is the place to create and foster those family memories. We’ll keep you updated on some great stories as the year progresses. We are thankful for all of SHM’s friends and family – both new and longtime returning guests. This week is a busy one with lots of visitors coming over the bridge to be with family on the holiday and a Thanksgiving wedding to boot.

Our crazy Bengal cats, Snooki & PaulyD are 1 year old today and for their birthday they got turkey and gravy prepared especially for them by a famous French chef. Mmmmmm…….
