In Dennis: The Beaches on Cape Cod Bay | |||||
| Harborview Beach: A nice long walk; stop in and visit the Cafe Our neighborhood beach is about a mile from SHH. Within walking distance, it offers lots to look at and is framed by Sesuit Harbor’s jetty. | ||||||
| Cold Storage & Sea St. Beach: Quiet & long This calm beach is the neighborhood favorite and ideal for relaxation & long walks. The jetty is perfect for finding starfish wedged between the rocks or for sitting and watching the boats pass through Sesuit Harbor. | ||||||
| Mayflower Beach: Fun & Spacious; Perfect for Families Low tide offers miles of sand flats that are great for building a sandcastle, finding hermit crabs and minnows or playing bocce. Changing facilities and a snack bar are located at the beach for your convenience. | ||||||
| Chapin Beach: Great View & Location; Winds bring Kite Surfers Chapin Beach is a favorite for four-wheel-drive vehicles and kite surfers when there’s a good north wind. At nightfall this is one of the most beautiful beaches to watch the sunset on Cape Cod. This beach has no lifeguards and no restrooms. | ||||||
| Corporation Beach: Great Location and in the Neighborhood Corporation is one of the best known bayside beaches and has bathroom and concessions. It is also a great spot to see the bay in during a storm – jump in the car and drive down for a great view, especially during a thunderstorm! | ||||||

| Paine’s Creek: Tranquil & Small Brewster’s westernmost beach, Paine’s Creek offers breathtaking views of the flats, marsh and sunset, and its great for children. Kate’s Seafood is located a short distance down the road! | ||||||

| Grey’s Beach/Bass Hole: Breathtaking & Serene Located in Yarmouth Port, Grey’s beach offers some of the best views on Cape Cod and has a long boardwalk that goes right over the vibrant tidal estuary. You can see the west end of Chapin Beach across the channel. It is perfect for crabbing and catching a beautiful sunset. | ||||||

Sesuit Harbor Café - Located 5 minutes from SHH on the waterfront of Sesuit Harbor – great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Watch the boats go by as you enjoy your meal. Delicious clams, lobster, and the Café’s famous lobster roll. A quintessential Cape Cod experience not to be missed!

Scargo Tower & Princess Beach - Both on Scargo Lake, a short walk from the motel. The historical tower affords a breathtaking view of the bay and all of Cape Cod in the winter months! Princess Beach is great for families with small children, especially on those windy beach days. Great kayaking and canoeing here!
The Cape Playhouse and Theater – Celebrating more than 80 seasons, the Cape Playhouse is proud to be America’s Oldest Professional Summer Theatre. Legend has it that Betty Davis was discovered here when ahe was an usher. Always a great show! www.capeplayhouse.com
Bray Farm – A quaint, historic, 22-acre farm which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. Originally owned by Richard Taylor in 1639, two farm hands named George and William Bray acquired the land making it the Taylor-Bray Farm. For more information, visit www.taylorbrayfarm.org

While you are staying at The Sesuit Harbor House, take a day trip to one of the following towns:
Hyannis – Grab a bite to eat at the harbor, enjoy the many water activities, shop or dine along Main St. or visit the Cape Cod Mall. Chatham – The quintessetial Main Street in Chatham offers great dining and shopping. Wellfleet – Wellfleet is known as the “Art Gallery” town for good reason, and is rumored to be full of vacationing shrinks in the month of August. Home of the famous Beachcomber on Cahoon Hollow Beach. Provincetown – This festive beach town at the very tip of the Cape offers a wide variety of shopping, seaside activities including whale watching and great beaches! Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket – Martha’s Vineyard is the larger and closer of the two islands. Bikes, scooters or public transportation will get you around either Island once you land. Lots to see and do! Plymouth – Plimouth Plantation, the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock will steep you in the history of America’s early settlers. Boston – the “Hub of the Universe” Boston is a great city full of history, great museums and universities, interesting neighborhoods and and a very active and fun waterfront scene! |
